Hello
Readers,
Today’s issues focuses first on sendmail – the feature article
explains the basics of this vast topic by pinning down exactly
what you need to get the mail moving. And, if you find you’re
getting more mail than you want, today’s first article discusses
SpamShield, which you can use in conjunction with sendmail to
limit unwanted email. Also in the news today are HP and Sun,
who are challenging the big players with new products. HP goes
up against IBM with its new applications server, while Sun is
challenging Microsoft’s dominance in the business world with
an inexpensive Linux PC. We at UnixProNews wish them luck! We
also have forums where you can get (or give) advice, and a couple
of free downloads for Linux systems. Happy reading!

The long-awaited release of Mozilla
version 1.0 meets all the expectations for a modern browser,
with many features not found in Microsoft Internet Explorer.
Mozilla's interface employs the standard browsing paradigm
with back, forward, and refresh buttons, but it is skinnable,
meaning you can download new looks for it. One feature
that many surfers will find they can't live without is
the ability to disable unrequested pop-up windows on Web
sites. Mozilla also lets you open multiple browser windows
and display multiple Web pages in a single tabbed window
at the same time.
